Beacon Counselling Trust offer a ‘young people’, as well as ‘It’s more than just a game’ programmes, where you can find out much more about the links between gaming and gambling.
Betknowmore and Alex Ballinger MP hosted the AFGSN at the Houses of Common, to showcase why support for gambling harms in the Armed Forces Community is so crucial. It was a day of meaningful conversations, shared goals, and genuine collaboration to better support veterans experiencing gambling harms.
Andy has been selected as a finalist for the Education, Training & Development category in the Soldiering On Awards. This is in recognition of the work carried out on behalf of the AFGSN in delivery of the ‘Battling the Odds’ programme, and in particular the ‘Bet You Can Help’ training to serving personnel and the wider veteran community.
We are extremely proud that our Northwest Armed Forces Gambling Support Network provider Beacon Counselling Trust (BCT) have been awarded Silver under the Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme for demonstrating our support to Defence and the wider Armed Forces community. BCT is one of forty-seven organisations from across the Northwest of England to have been awarded Silver, in 2024.
